Assistant Professor (tenure-track)
The Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. A doctorate in Synthetic Organic or Medicinal Chemistry and related postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will have the potential to develop and maintain a strong, extramurally funded, independent research program that fosters collaborations. Priority will be given to research in synthetic medicinal chemistry. The applicant will play an active role in the development of a new drug discovery center at UIC. Candidates are expected to teach in the graduate program and professional curriculum in the College of Pharmacy.
